How Can a Painful Red Lump On The Armpit Be Treated?

I had a red lump in my armpit...it hought it was notjing so i ley it go...then it started to swell and was very large compared to my other armpit a vouole days later somthing popped and it started leaking fluid and puss but it felt less painful so i thought it went away. Well it started hurting again so i just lookef at it and i now have a black hole in my arm pit with a perfect red ring around it. The ring almost looks like ringworm but I know it's not, it hurts and is swollen, and its still leaking puss. The puss started out yellow then went to a redish/orange color. Almost like the puss mixed with blood...I don't know what to do. I'd like to get.an idea of what I'm dealing with. I hate hospitals. But if you think I should seek medical assistance I will.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
This is a classical infected sebaceous cyst and unless the whole lump is excised, it will not get cured.
In the meantime consult a General Surgeon to get a clinical evaluation and get started on a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medication.
Apply Liquid povidone locally to make the area sterile.
Do not fondle or pop as the infection can spread in this area very fast.
If advised for surgery go for it to get a probable cure.
Request for total excision, your Surgeon may advise to complete the course first so that inflammation is reduced so that surgery after can be easy and effective to cure the problem.
